E-W-S VANE MIST EXTRACTORS CUSTOM BUILT FOR OPERATOR / PACKAGER REQUIREMENTS

Operating Companies can obtain properly sized and designed E-W-S vane mist extractor equipped gas separators with lower total cost of ownership. E-W-S designs and markets separator internals exclusively so Operating Companies can deal directly with their preferred regional pressure vessel fabricators for their separator requirements, instead of having to purchase separation and filtration equipment from engineering separator fabricators with longer lead times and higher total cost.

Process Equipment Packagers and Pressure Vessel Fabricators can take advantage of E-W-S expertise and proprietary vane mist extractor separator internals to meet today’s “high spec” requirements for state of the art separators and filter-separators.

E-W-S VANE MIST PROPOSAL

Ed W. Smith Machine Works will submit a proposal for the required E-W-S vane mist extractor internals as well as recommended vessel sizing and critical installation details for each application. A process separation guarantee is included with every unit in addition to the standard workmanship and materials guarantee.

EFFECTIVE SEPARATOR VESSEL DESIGN ELEMENTS

Ed W. Smith Machine Works will provide recommendations for additional vessel design elements for effective separator performance. Essential features include

E-W-S SEPARATOR SIZES ARE COMPARABLE TO PROPRIETARY SEPARATOR MANUFACTURERS

Over 50 years experience has shown E-W-S separator sizing is on par with the other proprietary separator manufacturers' sizing for given applications. Generally the total cost of ownership for E-W-S vane mist extractor equipped separators will be less than the larger mesh pad separators suited for equivalent service requirements.

Althouth industry references such as the Gas Processors Handbook, and API Specifications address separator sizing criteria which involve "K" factors used to characterize and limit the superficial gas velocity outside the mist extractor, these "K" factors sizing criteria are not consistent with the proven methodology involved in sizing E-W-S vane mist extractor applications. Ed W. Smith Machine Works considers our vane mist extractor sizing methodology as proprietary design data and respectfully retains control of those specific mist extractor sizing calculations accordingly.

PUTTING E-W-S EXPERTISE TO WORK TO DEVELOP A SEPARATOR SOLUTION

In order to assist our customers with their separator sizing requirements for project estimating and preliminary vessel design work, Ed W. Smith Machine Works has developed several separator sizing aides to help define minimum vessel requirements fo a variety of separator configurations. We recommend that you contact E-W-S directly for assistance with specific separator applications - we'll get to work to define a well-engineered custom designed vane mist extractor solution for your requirement.
